Now that I’ve finished reading it , the only word that comes to mind is amazing. The Gift of Gabe is an amazing book that captivates the mind and touches the deepest recesses of the heart and soul. It lifts us up to a level of awareness that many do not even contemplate. It makes us think – really think. The Gift of Gabe is the story of an ordinary meeting that leads to a study of the works of extraordinary authors, artists, and poets that ultimately lead to a whole different way of viewing life and the very existence of what is. Author Brian Joseph details the visits with Gabe in such a way as to make the reader feel he or she is right there engaged in conversation and hanging on every word. The Gift of Gabe is a book for everyone. It will inspire as well as incite wonder and awe. This book will bring to light the interconnectedness of life in a way you never imagined. You will learn to find joy in simple ways and unexpected places. The book also reminds us that the most unlikely individual can prove to be a great teacher. I savored each page of this book and when I reached the end of it, I had to smile as tears filled my eyes but they were tears of joy and hope. I highly recommend The Gift of Gabe.
